How can we learn more about your photography and see if we’re a good fit?
My photography focuses on celebrating and capturing all of the real love, connection and emotion on these incredible days. There is so much information to share including my approach, my vibe and logistical booking details as well as referrals from past couples and of course galleries of images. The best way to get a glimpse of all of this is really to visit my site, follow me on Instagram and then to schedule a consult to discuss what you are looking for and how I may be of service. When should we book a photographer?
I would encourage you to book any vendor, including your photographer, as soon as possible or you determine they are your right fit. For reference, there are 52 Saturdays in a year and most every couple wants to host their wedding on the same 25 of them. Vendors book up quickly and the safest advice would be to strive to book a year in advance if you are able.
What do we get from you and when?
This depends on a variety of factors and while I do not guarantee a specific number of images, I have found over time that the finished galleries that I deliver often contain roughly 100 images per hour of shooting. These 'best of the best' would of course be narrowed down from thousands more. Offseason engagement shoots are generally turned around pretty quickly (2-3 weeks), while the summer peak season does tend to get busier and thus slows delivery. I will always strive to send you a few 'sneak peeks' within a couple of days of your event (I will be as excited to see them as you are) and then for weddings the full gallery will be delivered within 8 weeks (though again, often sooner.)
Will you travel to our wedding?
Yes, absolutely. I work locally out of the Santa Fe/Albuquerque area, but am willing to travel anywhere and would be happy to put a quote together for you following a consultation.
Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?

What separates you from all of the other photographers?
There is a lot of beautiful wedding photography to choose from and while I believe that I make some of it, the finished work is only part of the process of choosing a photographer. I have been shooting professionally for a long time and that has perhaps given me a different perspective than most. I see the beauty in people and I am patient enough to allow that beauty to come out without forcing it or forcing myself upon it. A lot of photographers shooting couples and weddings feel that it is their role to help people become beautiful by posing them in trendy or popular ways and this is a major divergence from my approach. I think that an excessive use of posing masks who they really are, how they really look at one another and what their love looks like. To me, it is always worth the wait to capture the real you because that is what is worth remembering. This point of view and approach is ultimately what makes me the photographer that I am and gives my work the look that it has. I am not the right fit for every couple, but if this is what you are looking for, then we may be a great fit.

Ty is amazing. Both as a human and a photographer. He told me the first time we talked “your photographer is arguably the person you spend the most time with on your wedding day, and also who you know the least.” Ty’s easy going, professional, yet fun energy made him an easy person to be around all day. He captured our day and all of our people so beautifully and authentically. We are eternally grateful for the memories captured in his images.
Ty did our maternity photos in Taos, New Mexico and they turned out so beautiful! He was great to work with and always prompt on communication about the shoot. We were traveling from out of town and didn’t know the area, he found a perfect location, and we didn’t have to worry about it at all. Ty helped our boys feel relaxed and have fun with the pictures. I couldn’t be happier with these pictures and will cherish them forever!
We honestly can’t say enough amazing things about Ty. From our very first call, he made us feel so comfortable and at ease — we immediately knew he was exactly the kind of photographer (and person) we wanted to capture our day. He just has this calm, grounded energy that makes everything feel easy and fun. Ty has such an incredible eye for capturing real moments — the little in-between shots, the genuine emotions, the tiny details that tell the full story of the day. Our photos are beyond what we could have imagined. He somehow managed to capture everything we were feeling and then some. He sent us an incredible sneak peek album just a few days after the wedding (with SO many amazing photos!) and then delivered the full gallery a few weeks later. His communication was always on point, and he was so easy to work with — kind, organized, and totally unflappable. He shot our wedding at Hotel Luna Mystica in Taos, NM, where the weather can change quickly. Our timeline had to shift due to weather and he was flexible, calm and able to roll with any punches without being phased in the slightest. We also loved how efficient he was with the group shots so we didn’t spend forever posing — it meant we got to actually enjoy the party while still getting all the photos we wanted. We are completely obsessed with our wedding photos and still can’t stop looking at them. We feel so lucky that Ty was part of our day and honestly can’t imagine anyone else capturing it so perfectly. We’ll absolutely be working with him again for any future photo needs. He just gets it. If you want photos that feel like true moments in time captured as authentically as possible, he’s your guy.
