Beautiful spot
Bishop’s Ridge was the perfect spot for our wedding! The scenery is beautiful and an easy drive from town. With the large amount of space, there were so many options for where to host our ceremony. We opted for a space outside in the trees and held our reception in the main lodge with a lovely patio. The Director Christopher was such a pleasure to work with! He was very accommodating, kind, and easy to keep in touch with. It was an easy space for a food truck to come into and there are several cabins that family and friends were able to stay in. I highly recommend this tucked away treasure!
Lucky Break
My husband and I originally booked a private Airbnb in Glorieta to host an intimate wedding ceremony. When the owners cancelled on us suddenly about a month out, we weren’t sure what we would do to salvage our special day. We scrambled to find a new venue and stumbled upon Bishop’s Ridge — how lucky we were indeed! Executive Director Christopher Jewell and his staff were incredibly accommodating, responsive, and kind. We were able to host our immediate family and friends in the Retreat House and one A-Frame cabin, while my husband and I stayed in the Hermitage. Did I mention that Bishop’s Ridge allows dogs? Our beloved pets were able to join us, which was a key deciding factor in choosing a venue. For our ceremony, we took advantage of the late afternoon sun and beautiful pines surrounding the back porch of the event hall. Our guests all expressed their enjoyment of the simple beauty and peace of the venue, as well as the advantage of being able to stay overnight together on location. I can’t fully express how happy we were with our wedding weekend at Bishop’s Ridge!
I would like to second my husband Rob’s review. We wanted an outdoor venue for our wedding, and this was a great choice. The hall was large enough for 100+ guests, with room to spare. We had to move indoors at the last minute, but I doubt many guests realized it. The in-house caterer was both good and reasonable. Manager Chris was ready and able to assist with anything needed.
