Katie Sacoman founded Sweet Pea Bakery in 2021 with one belief: the best memories are made gathered around the table with the people we love.
Serving Albuquerque and the surrounding area, the bakery specializes in timeless desserts designed to feel both familiar and special. From thoughtfully crafted cupcakes to custom and printed sugar cookies, each dessert is created with an attention to detail that ensures it is just as beautiful as it is delicious.

Katie’s approach is rooted in the idea that wedding desserts should be something guests genuinely enjoy and remember. By focusing on time-tested flavors and clean, elegant design, she creates dessert experiences that feel warm, inviting, and refined.
Her favorite part of the process is the moment clients see their desserts for the first time. “It’s almost too pretty to eat,” is something she hears often—but it’s the second reaction that matters most: guests coming back for another bite.
Whether you’re envisioning a full dessert table or a curated selection of signature treats, Katie and her team work closely with each couple to create a menu that brings people together and adds something meaningful to the celebration.

FAQ

Do you deliver and set up?
We can offer delivery, as well as full set up and styling for weddings. Some packages do include delivery and set up.

Can we choose our desserts?
Each package is curated to offer a variety for your guests, and couples get to choose flavors for each dessert category. If you're unsure or it feels overwhelming we can help curate your perfect flavor combinations!

Do you make cakes?
While we do not offer tiered cakes at this time, we do offer cutting cakes and sheet cakes for our wedding couples.

I'm interested in ordering but want to try your items first. Do you do tastings?
We do! Fill out our wedding inquiry form and the bakery will reach out to schedule your tasting. Tastings do come with a fee which is credited to your wedding invoice when you book with us.

    Katie is SOOOO talented at decorating, and all of her baked goods taste out of this world amazing. I got some cookies for the office and legit everyone said they were some of the best cookies they had ever had. A++!! I also look forward to attending one of her upcoming cookie decorating classes!

    We ordered cookies from Sweet Pea Bakery for our son’s 2nd birthday. They were both cute and delicious. The cookies were individually packaged, which made it great for guests to take a cookie home with them. Her designs fit our theme perfectly and the flavor was wonderful! I always try to make a stop by whenever Katie has a pop up at a local spot. Everything I have tasted has been incredible! I can’t wait until the next opportunity to get a sweet and salty cookie…I still daydream about that delicious cookie!

    We had a Cowboy Chic themed party. We chose Sweet Pea to make our cookies and we were not disappointed. The cookies they designed were beyond perfect for the theme. Bonus, they were, by far, the best tasting cookies I’ve ever had!! Beautiful, professional cookies. Their communication was great. I am tempted to plan another party just so that we can order more cookies from Sweet Pea! Thanks again!!
