How can we learn more about your photography and see if we’re a good fit?
My photography focuses on celebrating and capturing all of the real love, connection and emotion on these incredible days. There is so much information to share including my approach, my vibe and logistical booking details as well as referrals from past couples and of course galleries of images. The best way to get a glimpse of all of this is really to visit my site, follow me on Instagram and then to schedule a consult to discuss what you are looking for and how I may be of service. When should we book a photographer?
I would encourage you to book any vendor, including your photographer, as soon as possible or you determine they are your right fit. For reference, there are 52 Saturdays in a year and most every couple wants to host their wedding on the same 25 of them. Vendors book up quickly and the safest advice would be to strive to book a year in advance if you are able.
What do we get from you and when?
This depends on a variety of factors and while I do not guarantee a specific number of images, I have found over time that the finished galleries that I deliver often contain roughly 100 images per hour of shooting. These 'best of the best' would of course be narrowed down from thousands more. Offseason engagement shoots are generally turned around pretty quickly (2-3 weeks), while the summer peak season does tend to get busier and thus slows delivery. I will always strive to send you a few 'sneak peeks' within a couple of days of your event (I will be as excited to see them as you are) and then for weddings the full gallery will be delivered within 8 weeks (though again, often sooner.)
Will you travel to our wedding?
Yes, absolutely. I work locally out of the Santa Fe/Albuquerque area, but am willing to travel anywhere and would be happy to put a quote together for you following a consultation.
Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?

What separates you from all of the other photographers?
There is a lot of beautiful wedding photography to choose from and while I believe that I make some of it, the finished work is only part of the process of choosing a photographer. I have been shooting professionally for a long time and that has perhaps given me a different perspective than most. I see the beauty in people and I am patient enough to allow that beauty to come out without forcing it or forcing myself upon it. A lot of photographers shooting couples and weddings feel that it is their role to help people become beautiful by posing them in trendy or popular ways and this is a major divergence from my approach. I think that an excessive use of posing masks who they really are, how they really look at one another and what their love looks like. To me, it is always worth the wait to capture the real you because that is what is worth remembering. This point of view and approach is ultimately what makes me the photographer that I am and gives my work the look that it has. I am not the right fit for every couple, but if this is what you are looking for, then we may be a great fit.

We had the most amazing experience with Ty. Our wedding was a casual affair but large and spanning indoor/outdoor space. We asked that Ty focus on capturing family and friend groupings so we could gift these photos later on. The results are stunning, vibrant, and caught so many moments of joy. He was patient with us throughout the evening and helped us stay in the moment. I could not recommend Ty more for any of the special events in your life. Ty will always be our go-to!
I’m not someone who loves getting their photo taken, but I love photo shoots when they’re with Ty. He’s one of the best photographers we’ve ever met. He makes the experience so fun and easy, it doesn’t even feel like you’re doing a photo shoot. He also makes you look so good! He has a knack for catching the little moments or the small looks that really convey who you are. Anytime we shoot with Ty and we get the photos back, we say to each other “that’s who our family is,” or “that’s who we are as a couple.” It’s so awesome to see relationships come to life in a photo. He always delivers beyond our expectations. And then we make dozens of prints and put them all over our house!
From the moment we first contacted and took our intro call with Ty, my wife and I both felt completely at ease with what might come next. Though I did not know what to expect throughout our engagement or wedding in regards to photos, each time Ty was able to perfectly encapsulate our personalities and allow us to just be. Whether it was finding intimate shots of us up close or from afar, he made himself part of the surroundings and was rarely even felt! This may seem odd, but in reality, it was perfect as it set the tone to let my wife and I interact with each other and those around us without ever wondering where the camera was or what it might be capturing. And the results were stunning. Every single photo. Ty takes the time to understand exactly what you are looking for to capture and constantly exceeds that. His communication style is clear and succinct, and his creativity truly shines in his work. His turnaround time for our shoots actually stunned me each time and it just goes to show that he has a wonderful vision that doesn’t need time to be edited. He captures natural elements, whether it is an object or a place, and in doing so, lets the set speak for itself. I could not recommend Ty any more than I already do to everyone that will listen!
