“Suzanne Chavez, a non-denominational wedding minister, is an insightful, compassionate, and joyful Wedding officiant.
Her loving nature magically puts people at ease as she naturally accepts people for who they are. Suzanne is creative, flexible, and inspirational, and she brings this to each wedding she performs” – Brides Magazine 2005.
I am a wedding minister for the Loretto Chapel, Bishop’s Lodge Resort and the historic La Fonda Hotel. In addition, I now have a beautiful garden gazebo on a private garden property in Santa Fe – perfect for a beautiful, affordable and intimate ceremony.
I would be honored to officiate your ceremony in any of these venues, or your favorite spot.
My ceremonies lean toward traditional style in structure and incorporate time honored wedding customs. My ceremonies are more reverential, spiritual and celebratory in nature than strictly religious. However they do resemble a traditional Christian style ceremony in structure, timing, stating of the vows, ring ceremony and the pronouncement. With that said, there is absolutely room to add your personal wishes to make your ceremony uniquely yours!
As an ordained minister, I honor and respect all beliefs and traditions, whether religious, spiritual, mystical or secular.
I welcome clients and inquiries from all religious traditions, spiritualities, races, genders, sexual orientations and lifestyles. I encourage your ideas for personalizing your ceremony.

1 Review on “Santa Fe Weddings”
Dear Suzanne,
Thank you for officiating our wedding and helping make it such a meaningful day for us.
We especially appreciated the time and care you took to personalize the ceremony. The way you incorporated our history together, our relationship with Leyla and Jim, and the story of our thirty-two years together made the ceremony feel intimate, thoughtful, and uniquely ours.
One part that has stayed with me since the ceremony was your reflection about being witnesses to one another’s lives. That idea was especially meaningful and beautifully captured what a long-term partnership really is. After thirty-two years together, that message resonated deeply with both of us.
We are grateful for the warmth, kindness, and presence you brought to our wedding day. Thank you for helping us create a memory that we will always treasure.
With gratitude,
Matthew and Murad
